25th April 2017

As a tractor turned the cut hay on the opposite side of the valley, and two birds of prey circled overhead, 43 members of the chaplaincy of St Andrew's Pau and one dog celebrated the Feast of the Ascension with Eucharist in the garden of Reader John Errey in Pallanne, Hautes-Pyrénées.  Locum chaplain Barbara Moss presided, and preached about Ascensiontide as a time of prayer, for us as it was for the disciples.  The prayers of intercession included a minute's silence for the victims of the Manchester bombing.  The service was followed by a bring-and-share lunch.
